Quick Synopsis
This is a work in progress. Be sure to follow along as we build the documentary. The documentary film will follow a young farming family as they build a sustainable future for themselves. We will see how the complex social, cultural, and family relationships are interwoven with the lives of their families, animals, and crops as they struggle to create a sustainable environmental and economic livelihood in a world full of uncertainties ranging from weather to parasites, from crop failures to the vagaries of consumer taste, and from financial stresses to just plain hard physical labour. The world needs people who believe in farming to feed the expected increase in our population, to meet the demands for higher quality produce, and to adapt to our changing climate.

This short demonstration video illustrates the type of material we developed in the preliminary stages of creating a concept for the project. We will post new video examples and photographs as we develop the project.
